Total Body Walking: Taster Sessions Coming to Biddulph and Leek!

Move More Staffs Moorlands is excited to announce free Total Body Walking taster sessions in Biddulph and Leek this May — a fantastic opportunity to get moving, meet others, and experience the unique benefits of this energising activity.
Join us on Thursday 22nd May at Biddulph Youth & Community Zone and Friday 6th of June at Rethink, John Hall Gardens for an introduction to this powerful form of Nordic Walking, specially designed to engage your entire body.
Also known as Total Body Walking, Nordic Walking uses specially designed poles to activate 90% of the body’s muscles, making it a superb choice for boosting strength, improving balance, and supporting joint health. Whether you’re looking to get fitter, manage a health condition, or simply want to try something new in a friendly setting, these sessions are perfect for all ages and abilities.
Why give it a try?
- Burns up to 46% more calories than regular walking
- Reduces strain on knees and joints
- Improves posture, coordination, and overall mobility
- Supports heart and lung health
- Great for those at risk of falling
Endorsed by health professionals for its ability to improve muscle and bone strength, Nordic Walking is as suitable for beginners as it is for seasoned fitness enthusiasts. So, grab a friend, pop on some comfy shoes, and come and experience the difference Total Body Walking can make.

No matter your age or ability, there’s something special about walking in good company. We’d love to hear from others across the Staffordshire Moorlands who are organising their own walks, nature meetups, or any other outdoor activities. Let’s celebrate the ways we stay healthy, connected, and inspired in our beautiful green spaces.
